game is frame-y, but only when playing online#873

When I play locally the game runs great, I use the lowest graphics settings I can for max performance. no fabric sim, all low, one pass, idk which anti aliasing is best.

When I go online, it doesn’t matter what region, the game starts fine and then progressively gets more frame-y as I play. I am not getting 60fps, but only online. I know this is not just online lag because I play in lobbies with friends all the time and there has been a distinct different lag feeling in the last few updates.

I’m a Kragg main, I don’t think there’s a memory leak with rock but hey it’s worth mentioning.

I’m on a fedora laptop so I am running through proton, but I have a really nice amd apu and haven’t had any trouble with the game until an update or two ago.

usually when the game runs fine locally but bad online its a CPU bottle neck because of rollback, since that is pretty CPU heavy. But i don’t see that happening with your CPU. did you update your linux kernel recently? maybe new drivers messed up the performance. do other games still run fine?

thanks for letting me know :) that makes sense that rollback is cpu heavy, I’m not sure what made it worse more recently though. All other games still play great.
