Let online FFA lobbies merge together for faster backfilling + FFA CSS training mode#850

FFA lobbies supporting back-filling if the players waiting is great! The problem is that, if there are lobbies with only two players in them, they’re both only able to accept players who are newly-connecting to FFA. This leaves you with a lot of “hungry” lobbies where the supply will often not be provided quickly enough.

Therefore, a new feature should be added to where, if there are two FFA lobbies waiting for new players, and both of those lobbies only have two players in them, those lobbies should “merge” together (provided the players’ server preferences don’t conflict with this).

This feature would go a long way into making the the FFA lobby backfill functions as people expect it to, as atm, people get distrustful of people ever actually backfilling into their lobbies. It would also help make the server costs be more efficient, as 4 players in one lobby is cheaper than 2 players in two lobbies.

In addition, to encourage players to actually wait for this backfill to occur, FFAs should be able to access a shared training mode to mess around in. This sounds obnoxious to add, so I don’t expect it. But every casual player I’ve played Rivals with loves messing around in the CSS training mode (sometimes more than actually playing a match, strangely enough). So this would help bring a big of magic to the online experience.
