La Reina needs trading interactions#834

La Reina will always feel really insane at times because her hit-grabs moves don’t visibly trade, leading to some really unintuitive* hitbox & hurtbox interactions. Not only will you not trade, this enables her to get her flowchart follow up that guarantees you end up off stage unless you want to be stuck in up air till DEATH. NO OTHER CHARACTER HAS A REWARD GRADIENT LIKE THIS ON HIT, DUE TO LACK OF TRADES & NATURE OF HER COMBO TREE.

Please consider giving her up air, a hitbox before that can be sdid out of the 2nd hit that is the grab, that way really good La Reina’s can be rewarded for the spacing and getting 2nd hit only. Like Fox/Falco up air in melee except 2nd hit is grab :)

You could even add some jank windbox/static knockback values to make the trade hit actually have decent knock back, like Roy Up Special 1 in Melee where if it fails to combo into the rest of the move the knockback is often significant enough to reset to neutral.

Again, the lack of trading interactions makes this character frustrating AF to fight at times, this might be a solution, might be nothing.

Tacking on to also express frustration with the current state of la Reina’s up air. It’s not a very interactive move in its current state. Dependent on position, you’re either making the choice between outright dying, taking 30+ more percent, or being put far offstage. Few other moves have that level of privilege where connecting them is always good, but they’re also fairly easy to connect
