For visual feedback, a red tint similar to how grab armor has a yellow tint.
Call it “Exhaustion”, wears off when actionable, on hit or 1 pummel is performed.
Would add to the available options for fun punishes. I personally never lab Spummel combos because it’s just a gamble and I like to take the guaranteed throw instead.
Specifically 1 pummel because of La Reina having multiple

I was exactly thinking that this would be a good buff for pummels. If the risk of losing your throw isn’t worth the reward, then a way to guarantee a pummel is necessary.

This would effectively make a spummel the correct punish option 100% of the time

Parries are cool because they give time to setup a cool punish you wouldn’t be able to do in any other situation and you want to reduce it to always grab spummeling

Replies are correct grab spummel would be optimal 90% of the time so no thnx
Some characters definitely would want to spummel like Wrastor, Galvan. I guess I was thinking if you parry at high percent then you just kill them anyway, but if you parry slightly before that threshold you get an opportunity to play with spummel.
Maybe just on shield breaks since those are a lot more niche, but that is a weird knowledge check to know you can spummel on shield break only.
A way to guarantee a spummel every now and then would be fun, because it feels beyond gimmicky, I’m open to other ideas about it. Perhaps if it was implemented on parry then you’d have to do a balance pass to nerf the polarizing ones
a throw after the person got parried is always a neutral di would be awesome!

A smaller break window rather than just making it unbreakable is how I’d like this change to be if it were to be added.

I don’t think we would ever do this for parry stun. As mentioned by the majority of replies, special pummel would become the optimal parry punish for a lot of characters in all situations. However, I personally like the idea for shield breaks, since special pummels generally aren’t any more deadly than getting to fully charge a strong attack. It would be a bit unintuitive though, so that’s one thing holding it back from being a safe addition. People don’t like feeling like their inputs aren’t working, and it seems like that’s doubly true for pummel breaks. Marking this as “Not Planned”, but I’ll keep the shield break pummel idea in mind for a potential future change.
