This game is boring as sin. I’m sorry (edit: I’m not sorry in the slightest), it’s so boring. Can recoveries just be made dogshit across the board so it isn’t so boring to play?

If sin is boring, you’re doing it wrong
hey alright

Unnecessary aggression aside, I do find the current edge guarding loop to be very boring. Abuse ledge invincibility mini-game until one of you messes it up.
I honestly don’t bother when playing casual and just let my opponent recover because that’s more fun for everyone.

@SophisticatedDiagram426 it just bugs me so much to go from melee where I can get most characters offstage and I feel like a have a chance to guard them and claim a stock; to this game where not only is neutral a slog, but then I finally get a win and put them offstage, and then every time I hit them they get access to their recovery tools again and I’ve gotten like 4% extra credit for putting myself in a position to get reversaled. Plus you can’t get too much extra credit or you get stuck in every character’s marthritis range and the stock goes on even longer. Every game turns into this 6 minute boring slog where every moment is just painful to get through, it’s why I quit for months and I’m probably going to quit again. I’d prefer it if the game had 5 stocks but characters blew up as often as some people insist they do. You hear about how volatile or exploitable a recovery is and then you see it in action and you’re like “is the bad recovery in the room with us right now?” The only character I’ve seen that has a truly volatile recovery is Maypul and maybe Kragg but only if he’s playing badly. With everyone else there’s just no point in risking getting clipped and reversaled just to get like 20% extra and waste a half minute of the match.
