If it can’t replace his current Down Strong, I’d like to see it as his grounded Down Special. This move looks cool, and I’d love to see it return to his kit. It’s definetely cooler than the splits they gave him, personally.

It is cooler than the splits and a great parry punish, but unfortunately I think the splits are much better for tech chasing (particularly in the corner) and comboing into so this would likely be an overall nerf.
