The visual noise for DFX has been cranked up quite a bit recently, and while I’m not a fan either, I can deal with it in normal gameplay.

The real issue I have is that the newer effects last longer and hide other characters on screen as shown in your screenshot. It’s a major issue for doubles. Moving the effect into the Z-axis would be a big help.
