I just tested on default controls and it doesn’t seem to lock for rolls and I can’t find any control options for it, I thought I remembered it doing that. It does definitely work for shield drops though, that worked in my tests and I used to shield drop that way before rights stick roll, the issue is it often buffers an aerial too though. It definitely should have better functionality than that, since shield di is important in this game surprisingly often I would appreciate it fully locking you out of rolls though, and not buffering an aerial would make it a lot more viable for shield drops

maybe this is the solution for the slade out of shield issue someone else posted recently: make shield+b be normal grab and shield+strong the hook if you unlocked it.
