i don’t really get it, i be hittin this at mid - high percent like 80 and they tech punish me before i can act. is this move permanently unsafe? am i missing a mechanic? i can’t find anything about this. please lmk

Are you using aerial or grounded?

Lox’ Sideb gives you a techchase situation, not a guaranteed punish. Also you can be minus if you did it in the air and had to spend your advantage by waiting to land

im doing grounded side special while they are at mid to high percent, they instantly tech in place and i get punished before my lag for the move is over. i have never had a plus tech chase option. i don’t get it

everyone techs in place and punishes me because why wouldn’t you? is there a way i can have less lag? do i need to cancel it somehow?

This cannot be true. You should be at least +10 against tech in place

You can see it yourself in training mode. Set a CPU to neutral tech and see how fast they recover until you’re actionable with frame advance feature

i have done grounded side special so fucking many times i dont need to go into training mode. grounded side special is fucking punishable with tech in place

Perhaps the option you’re choosing is punishable. SideB vs TiP absolutely leaves you advantageous, otherwise not a sinle Lox would’ve used this move
