Fix audio mixing ol Galvan's victory theme#498

This video reveals that Galvan’s default victory theme has some unusual volume qualities going on. Until I saw it, I didn’t realize it ended on a Bb minor chord because it’s so quiet.

I would also consider making the SFX during victory themes just a touch quieter to let the victory theme itself shine through. There are a lot of details that can be missed because of them.

Agree! I’d definitely love to see Galvan’s victory be made a little louder throughout to more closely match Yuletide Galvan’s which is much more pronounced even with sfx on.

While we chose to still give players control over music, VO and SFX separately for victory animations, the mixing of these is not being done in real time so any duckings and automations happening in the music are printed in the file itself.
While we could do all of these in real-time, it would have a performance cost that could affect the correct playback of victory sequences in online play and we believe that these artifacts in the music when you listen to it isolated are a small price to pay for the possibility of having these sequences respect your volume options.
There is a possibility of us playing a clean file when we identify your SFX and VO faders are at zero but that would require some engineering and is unlikely to come anytime soon.

I think this might be able to be resolved to some extent by making changes to the original file if we can. The final notes have some ducking applied that makes them noticeably quieter. (To be clear, this is the solution I was more strongly suggesting of the two there.)

It’s possible that this might not work to the extent I’m hoping because Galvan’s drill sound is also pretty loud at that time, but I’d appreciate it being looked into regardless.

Unfortunately the ducking exists precisely because the drill + VO at that moment occupies A LOT of space, unless we reworked the whole balance of the victory sequence, reducing the ducking would make that moment even louder than it already is with the full picture and that would be undesirable.
Once again, we recognize that Galvan’s victory sequence is particularly affected by this decision of printing the mix on the files themselves but very few players (if any) will choose to play with only music on and as long as either SFX and VO are toogled on, the ducked frequencies are smoothly filled in by those.
