A way to give back P1 priority from keyboard to controller#1178

I’ve played the game with a USB controller since launch, which means Player 1 is always linked to my controller after I open the main menu with it. However, every now and then I take focus away from the R2 window using my mouse (to open discord, web browser, etc) and when I go back I have to click the game’s window to re-focus. And sometimes the game interprets that click as Player 1 now being controlled through keyboard+mouse.

I understand that decision, but the REAL problem is I CAN’T change it back to my controller until I go back to the main menu. I’ve been forced to cancel online matches or give up on Arcade runs countless times due to this, even if I unplug and plug my controller again. There should be a button or an automatic function that takes the keyboard+mouse inputs AWAY from Player 1 so any other controller can take it.
