Olympia can grab an opponent, her Brilliant Diamond, or certain objects such as Kragg’s Rock, La Reina’s Chair, and Lox’s Molten Boulder with her Radiant Grab.
If she lands soon enough after grabbing her Brilliant Diamond with her Radiant Grab, she will smash it across the pavement creating a bed of crystal spikes that crystallize the opponent.
However, she will automatically throw her Brilliant Diamond downward at a sharp angle after a set amount of time after grabbing it with Radiant Grab.
She is unable to throw objects and opponents in the same way. If she falls for enough time during her Radiant Grab after grabbing an object or opponent, she’ll slam them against the air.
I can’t imagine why this was necesarry, and it only serves to make the move less cohesive and less simple. Olympia’s Radiant Grab shouldn’t work differently on her Brilliant Diamond than other things she grabs with the same move, she should be able to throw opponents downward.
And when throwing Brilliant Diamond at the ground, it will not create a bed of crystal spikes at the ground where it was destroyed, nor will it activate Gem Field… it will break and put Olympia on cooldown.
The problem this creates that it means at certain heights such as above platform, Olympia cannot threaten Gem Smash, as she will automatically perform the throw, which as it puts her Gem on cooldown and doesn’t create a bed of spikes, which can be undesirable.
I propose they make it so you have to press a button to throw the Gem, it would give Gem Smash the ability to be used at different heights.
They recently gave Olympia the ability to slam opponents against a wall. I propose they should let her smash her Gem against a wall to make crystal spikes appear on it.
And finally, I propose that she can smash anything she grabs into her opponent. If she smashes her Gem into an opponent, it should crystallize the opponent. This would make its use not limited to surfaces.
