Something simple, just a button the automatically swaps all the custom rules to be what they would for Rivals 1, just to avoid having to flip them manually all the time.

Possibly taking some inspiration from Smash Ultimate with their Rule Setting menu giving a way to save multiple configurations for quick select without locking us to a bunch of presets. Giving some additional ease to modifying and testing settings out quickly or returning to a game mode you’ve created for yourself.

YEEES PLEASE

Big agree, I’d love to see some prebuilt rulesets added in plus some customizable presets as well. Especially if they could be extended to items, stage lists, etc.

Can you have a toggle called “Project R” as well? Normal Rivals 2 but with no floorhug but drift DI and whifflag. My justification: it’s rivals 2 with the max rivals 1 settings while keeping the traditional r2/smash identity, but it’s also the main things people want in the game. I’d love an easy way to play Rivals 1.5 basically.
Normal Mode: Normal rivals 2 settings
Legacy Mode: Rivals 1 settings
Project R: rivals 2 settings with no floorhug, drift DI, and whifflag.

“Mang0’s Ruleset!”
“Cake’s Ruleset!”
“No, stupid, statistically it’s been proven that ZEKE’s ruleset has the best results.”
“No bro my ruleset is better than all of these. Crouch cancelling just needs to be 0.1.”
“Plup’s Ruleset!”

After thinking about it some more, I think Project R should be a community voted ruleset would be dope. The devs hold a poll to vote how Project R should be and we have an entire few months to play and get used to it, then vote again the next patch. Content creators could try and get community support with their own rule sets (project nurse) to get it to be the new Project R.
